Accessibility
A calmer path has to work for more people.
Ensnarled is designed to be understandable, keyboard-friendly, screen-reader compatible and comfortable on a small screen or at high zoom.
The target
The site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a practical target, not a claim that every combination of device and assistive technology has been formally certified.
What is built in
- Plain headings, short steps and descriptive link text.
- Full keyboard operation with visible focus styles and a skip link.
- Status and error messages announced without forcing unexpected context changes.
- Layouts that reflow on mobile and at 200% zoom.
- Strong text contrast, labels that do not depend on color and large touch targets.
- Reduced motion support and a clean printable version of each path.
- No CAPTCHA, timed task, autoplay, drag gesture or account wall.
JavaScript and printing
The interactive finder uses JavaScript because matching happens locally in your browser. The explanatory and policy pages remain readable as ordinary documents. Once a route is open, the “Print this path” control creates a low-ink, linear version suitable for paper or Save as PDF.
If something gets in the way
Email CiaranPaulRoche@gmail.com with the page, what you were trying to do and the browser or assistive technology involved. Do not include private case information. I will treat an access barrier as a product bug.
